Santa Palomba, january 2012.
In line with its environmental policy Fiori Group has installed a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of a new building at the Santa Palomba plant in Rome. The plant's output of 262 kW will be destined mostly to autoconsumption and is expected to produce 311.760 kWh of energy per year. -
As primary benefits the PV-plant will allow us to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and to limit the consumption of fossil fuels.
The plant is estimated to avoid 165.232 kg* of carbon dioxide every year, that amounts to 4.956.960 kg within the next 30 years (the plant's expected lifespan).*considering the Italian energy-mix, for each kWh produced by the PV-plant the avoided emission of CO2 amounts to 0,53 kg (source: Ministry of Environmental Poltics)
